Dina was born in Forest Hills in Queens. New York. But she changed her location in Dix Hills on Long Island right before the end of her junior year. She has two younger siblings as well as an elder brother. Modeling was her first job in the industry. It was her first job from age nine to sixteen. She started her acting training at The Neighborhood Playhouse in New York and studied Sanford Meisner's acting techniques along with Ron Stetson, for about three years. Sandra Bullock was among those who were trained in this way and so were Michael Douglas, Jeff Goldblum Leslie Nielsen and Diane Keaton. The actress was a part of Beverly Hills 90210, and was forced relocate from Los Angeles to take the part. In the next few months, she landed the role as Johnny Mnemonic. For this movie, she was responsible of almost every stunt and demonstrated herself as an experienced actress. Through her agent who also manages Matt LeBlanc she scored a part as a guest on Friends.
